The project improves nutrition for women, children, and adolescents by promoting healthy practices, diverse diets, and strengthened local services through an integrated health, WASH, and agriculture approach.

Project Overveiw 

To improve nutrition for women, children, and adolescents in underserved communities of by promoting better household practices, diverse foods, quality services, and strengthened government capacity

Major Activities

  • Oriented project staff and key stakeholders on program objectives and implementation approaches.

  • Trained partners and field teams on reporting tools and data management systems.

  • Conducted partner mapping to strengthen coordination and avoid duplication.

  • Facilitated community-level nutrition and WASH awareness sessions targeting women, children, and adolescents.

  • Provided coaching and on-the-job support to health workers and regularly monitored the availability of essential nutrition supplies.

  • Supported school-based nutrition initiatives and national Vitamin A supplementation campaigns.

  • Advised local agriculture service centers and established farmer field schools to promote nutrition-sensitive agriculture practices.

  • Linked local food producers with markets to improve household income and food security.

  • Strengthened local government nutrition and food security committees through technical guidance and coordination support.

Major Achievements

Provided sustained technical support to government institutions while leading community-based behaviour change interventions to improve the nutritional status of women, children, and adolescents in underserved and marginalized communities. The program applied an inclusive, multi-sectoral approach integrating health, nutrition, WASH, and agriculture to enhance service delivery, community awareness, and local capacity for improved nutrition outcomes.
