The RVWRMP project improved water access and sanitation for Dalit and disadvantaged communities in Achham through water supply schemes, hygiene education, and total sanitation campaigns.

Project Overview 

The Rural Village Water Resource Management Project (RVWRMP), focused on Dalit and disadvantaged groups (DAG), was implemented in Achham from February 2016 to August 2018 with a budget of NRS 1,693,600. Supported by RVWRMP FINIDA, the project aimed to prepare master plans for constructing water supply schemes and promote total sanitation and hygiene among local communities. During the implementation period, ASTHA Nepal successfully managed water supply projects, conducted health and hygiene education classes and awareness activities, and carried out total sanitation campaigns in the respective VDCs, contributing to improved water access and better sanitation practices among the communities.
