Project Objective
To institutionalize local-level capacity to sustain and continuously improve quality of life, environmental conditions, and livelihood opportunities in rural communities within the project area.
Major Achievements

Formed, reformed, and mobilized User Committees (UCs) and Water User Committees (WUCs), providing technical support on dispute resolution, record keeping, transparency, and participatory planning, implementation, and monitoring.

Supported compliance with rules and regulations, promoted social and gender inclusion, and facilitated linkages with like-minded organizations to leverage additional resources.

Strengthened logistics management and supported operation and maintenance (O&M) of irrigation and water supply schemes.

Conducted 29 community awareness-raising programs on water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Developed a strategic plan for Total Sanitation at the community level.

Organized and celebrated national and international environmental and WASH-related days to promote community engagement.

Implemented catchment area conservation activities to protect water sources and improve environmental sustainability.
