Project Overview:
The Local Adaptation Plan for Action (LAPA) project aimed to enhance climate resilience of vulnerable communities by strengthening the capacity of government agencies and local NGOs. The project supported the adoption of climate-resilient agricultural practices and livelihood diversification to reduce climate risk. Through community-based interventions, the project also improved awareness on climate change impacts and built local adaptation mechanisms for sustainable development.

Supported submergence-tolerant rice farming for 200 farmers across six VDCs in Kailali.

Promoted commercial vegetable farming and beekeeping for 40 farmers, enhancing income opportunities.

Increased community awareness on climate change through street drama and local campaigns.

Established local adaptation funds for vulnerable communities in Narayanpur and Lalbhoji.
