Project Overview:
The Integrated Protection and Community Engagement (IPCE) Project aims to ensure that all children are loved, protected, and empowered through strengthened child protection systems and active community engagement. Supported by World Vision International Nepal, the project focuses on child protection and child sponsorship while addressing the needs of the most vulnerable children, including children with disabilities. The project is implemented in Achham District from October 2019 to September 2025 with an annual project cost of NPR 45,300,000, providing education, health, protection, and life-skills support to 5,500 registered children and strengthening community- and government-led child protection mechanisms.
Major Achievements:
- Supported 5500 Registered Children as educational materials, uniform, warm-clothes, health critical support, health screening support.
- Formed CRC at Ward Level:19 and Palika Level:4, established child-fund, capacitated.
- Provided critical support to the MVC (most vulnerable children).
- 3 Wards declared the CFLG and developed 5-year strategy plan of LLCA (local level child contest analysis) in 2 municipals.
- Strengthened/established the CHM (complain hearing mechanism) and suggestion/complain box and capacitated the committee.
- Supported to prepare the child related policies/acts in 4 Municipals: child protection policy, Ending Child Marriage,
- 164 PWD persons supported types of devices; educational materials, canes, crutches, wheelchairs and livelihood materials.
- Capacitated 190-Pair Educators through Rupantaran ToT and they facilitated the roll-out session on life and protective skills to the 2375 children.Provided First Aid Training to 38 health focal teaches of public school
