The Nawa Jeewan project empowered single women in Achham by strengthening their rights, economic independence, and social inclusion.

Project Overview:
The Nawa Jeewan project aimed to promote justice, dignity, and social inclusion for single women (widows) by strengthening their economic independence and social participation. The project supported rights-based advocacy and empowerment activities to ensure that single women could access their entitlements and lead a dignified life. Through capacity building, community awareness, and livelihood support, the project contributed to improved well-being and social recognition of single women in the target area.

Major Achievements:

  • Enhanced the capacity of the Single Women Right Advocacy Forum (SWARF) and its members through training and organizational strengthening.

  • Initiated and promoted rights realization activities for single women, including advocacy and community awareness.

  • Improved the living standards of single women through economic empowerment and social support initiatives.
