The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Programme (RWSSP) aimed to improve access to clean water and sanitation services in rural communities of Manang district. The project focused on developing sustainable water supply systems, promoting sanitation practices, and strengthening community institutions to ensure long-term maintenance and improved public health.

Major Achievements

  • Institutionalized 3 community groups for water and sanitation management.

  • Prepared 3 Operation & Maintenance (O&M) plans to ensure sustainability of water systems.

  • Conducted 11 awareness and capacity-building programs on WASH practices.

  • Implemented 3 water supply systems to improve access to clean drinking water.

  • Provided NRS 33,000 seed money to income-generating groups to support local livelihoods.
