Education and Child Protection

ASTHA Nepal has a long-standing partnership with organizations like World Vision International Nepal to implement child-focused projects such as the Integrated Protection and Community Engagement (IPCE) and Child Education Sponsorship Program. These initiatives have improved school attendance, reduced child labor, and established municipal-level child protection systems. ASTHA has facilitated the formation of Child Rights Committees (CRCs), CFLGs, and school-based child clubs. In the current scenario, Nepal continues to face high rates of school dropouts, child trafficking, and limited access to quality education, particularly in rural and conflict-affected areas. Moving forward, ASTHA Nepal will continue strengthening inclusive education, building capacity of caregivers and teachers, and advocating for policy-level improvements. It will also focus on integrating psychosocial support, adolescent protection, and community engagement into all child protection programs.
