Natural Resource Management and Livelihoods
ASTHA Nepal has demonstrated strong expertise in natural resource management and livelihood development. Projects such as Action for Sustainable Employment through Skill Enhancement (ASESE), DOSTLanHCLD, and NRREP have enhanced agroforestry, improved terrace farming, and supported rural livelihoods through technical and vocational training. The organization has empowered thousands of households through sustainable agriculture, market linkage, and enterprise development. In present-day Nepal, natural resources are overexploited, and rural livelihoods remain fragile due to climate change and limited market access. To address these challenges, ASTHA Nepal plans to promote climate-smart agriculture, value chain development, and on/off-farm livelihood programs targeting marginalized groups. Special emphasis will be placed on youth and women-led enterprises to strengthen economic resilience and sustainability.
