ASTHA Nepal supports climate action and biodiversity conservation through clean energy, LAPA, and community-based projects. We plan to expand by integrating climate adaptation into local governance and promoting renewable energy and conservation practices.

ASTHA Nepal, in collaboration with Practical Action Nepal, has been actively promoting clean and efficient cookstoves across Sudurpaschim Province through a holistic marketing approach. This joint initiative aims to address pressing environmental, economic, and health challenges by empowering communities with sustainable energy solutions.

The widespread adoption of improved cookstoves is expected to significantly reduce indoor air pollution, a major health risk particularly for women and children. Moreover, by minimizing the reliance on traditional firewood, the initiative contributes to the conservation of local forests—an essential step toward combating deforestation and climate change.

In addition to its environmental and health benefits, the use of clean cookstoves also supports better financial management for rural households. Reduced fuel consumption means lower expenses for families, freeing up resources for other essential needs such as education, nutrition, and healthcare.

Together, ASTHA Nepal and Practical Action Nepal are committed to driving positive change through practical, community-driven solutions. Our collective efforts are laying the foundation for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for the people of Sudurpaschim Province.
