ASTHA Nepal

Health and Nutrition

In the health and nutrition sector, ASTHA Nepal has implemented impactful programs such as the USAID Integrated Nutrition Project, Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) project, and multiple WASH related initiatives across Achham and Surkhet. These programs have addressed maternal and child health, personal hygiene, adolescent health, and sanitation through awareness campaigns, infrastructure development, and capacity building of health volunteers. With increasing nutritional deficiencies and limited access to quality health services in rural Nepal, ASTHA sees an urgent need to enhance health systems at the local level. Its future approach includes scaling maternal and adolescent health programs, improving WASH infrastructure, and promoting sustainable behavior change. The organization is committed to ensuring that women and marginalized communities have equitable access to nutrition, hygiene, and health education services.
