Project Overview
USAID Local Works_ Pragati project aims to promote inclusive economic growth and resilient communities by empowering marginalized and vulnerable groups (MVGs) in Achham and Mugu districts. Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the project adopts a market-led livelihood approach combined with good governance and social justice interventions and is implemented from January 2025 to December 2028 with a total project cost of NPR 181,361,440, strengthening climate-resilient livelihoods, improving market systems, enhancing disaster preparedness, and promoting inclusive governance and social accountability.

Livelihood Training & Support: Climate-smart agriculture, livestock rearing, beekeeping, blacksmithing, and retail shop support

Market & Business Development: Financial literacy, business skills training, agro-processing, and formation of market committees

Disaster Risk Reduction: Community disaster preparedness training, terracing, and agro-forestry practices
