The ASESE project strengthened agricultural skills and vocational training in Achham, Kailali, and Surkhet to create sustainable employment and improve livelihoods.

Project Overveiw 

The Action for Sustainable Employment through Skill Enhancement (ASESE) project aimed to improve sustainable employment opportunities in the agricultural sector by strengthening vocational and technical skills. The project focused on enhancing the capacity of trainers, instructors, and local resource persons to deliver market-oriented and practical skills. Through institutional strengthening and skills development, the project contributed to improved employability and productivity of farmers and agricultural laborers.

Implementation Area:
Achham, Kailali, and Surkhet Districts

Major Achievements:

  • Enhanced the capacity of six vocational and technical training institutes to deliver relevant, demand-driven agricultural skills.

  • Strengthened the skills of local agricultural laborers through effective mobilization and utilization of local resources and expertise.

  • Contributed to sustainable employment generation and improved livelihoods in the agriculture sector.
